Cinnamon Care Collection: When Exceptional Dementia Care is a Group-Wide Commitment
Cinnamon Care Collection Commits to NaDCAS Accreditation for All Homes
The National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme (NaDCAS) is pleased to share that Cinnamon Care Collection is working towards NaDCAS accreditation across all homes!
Cinnamon Care Collection is the first large care group in the UK to rollout the NaDCAS dementia accreditation in all its homes. This is an incredibly meaningful commitment. By choosing to work with NaDCAS in all homes across the group, Cinnamon is making it clear that high-quality dementia care is not something reserved for certain services, but a standard that should be experienced consistently by every person, in every home.
Working with NaDCAS in every home reflects a genuine determination to keep improving where it matters most: in daily practice, relationships, and lived experience. The focus is on care that is thoughtful, compassionate, and grounded in understanding, and the impact is already being felt by people living with dementia, their families, and the teams who support them.
A Partnership Built on Values
NaDCAS is built on partnership. We work alongside care providers to support reflection, learning, and lasting cultural change as a shared journey. From the very beginning, Cinnamon has embraced this, and the impact is already clear.
Care teams are feeling more confident and supported, with a deeper, shared understanding of what good dementia care looks like in practice. Most importantly, people living with dementia are experiencing positive and meaningful change; more moments of connection, greater engagement, calmer days and stronger, more trusting relationships with the people who care for them.
This is exactly what NaDCAS exists to support: sustained improvement that is about far more than compliance. It’s care that is felt in daily interactions, in environments, and in quality of life. An evolution in understanding what exceptional dementia care means, and how it is felt. A dedication to joy, compassion, and connection that can be felt in the air of a home and throughout a team.
Raising the Bar for Dementia Care
Cinnamon’s decision to roll out NaDCAS across all homes sends a clear message to the care sector: dementia care deserves focus, investment, and expert-led support, and that meaningful improvement is both achievable and necessary.
NaDCAS is designed to help providers move beyond standards to create care cultures where people living with dementia can truly live well. Our Framework for Exceptional Dementia Care, developed with sector experts, leading research universities and people with lived experience of dementia, provides a clear and practical foundation for meaningful and lasting improvement. It exists to help care providers create environments where people feel understood, valued and connected, and where top-quality, compassionate, consistent dementia care becomes the standard.
Seeing a provider commit at this scale shows what can be achieved when organisations lead with purpose, compassion, and ambition, and invites others to consider what more they could do to strengthen their own dementia care.
